Participants will take on real-world challenges — from optimizing PBR lighting models and advancing web pre-rendering efficiency, to creating next-generation visual effects that redefine human-computer interaction. More than a competition, it’s a journey into the future of visual computing — where creativity meets computational excellence. Work alongside Huawei’s engineers, showcase your technical and artistic capabilities, and gain firsthand experience shaping technologies that power the next generation of intelligent devices and platforms.
Outstanding participants will receive priority consideration for internship opportunities at the Huawei Finland Research Center, gaining the chance to turn innovation into impact.
Supercharging Graphics Performance for Next-Generation Experiences
As digital interfaces evolve toward greater visual depth and interactivity, achieving peak performance in rendering and user experience design is becoming increasingly
critical. This challenge invites innovators to explore new frontiers in graphics optimization, intelligent rendering, and creative interface design for the devices of
tomorrow.
Join individually or in teams of up to four and compete in the online phase of the challenge, where you’ll tackle real-world problems in visual computing, performance, and design innovation. The top teams will advance to an in-person pitch and award ceremony to showcase their solutions.
Key focus areas include real-time rendering efficiency, cross-platform performance, and next-generation UI experiences that seamlessly combine technical precision with artistic expression. The goal is to deliver lightweight, high-performance solutions that redefine how users interact with visual technology across platforms and devices.
